Following a jury trial, Hugh Harrison was convicted of importing alcohol into the village of St. Marys in violation of AS 04.11.496(b). On appeal, Harrison challenges the constitutionality of Alaskas local option law, arguing that it violates the equal protection and due process clauses of the United States and Alaska Constitutions and the privacy clause of the Alaska Constitution. Harrison also challenges his conviction on ex post facto grounds. After reviewing Harrisons claims, we conclude that his conviction must be affirmed.
